Scheduling work and assigning your team
Scheduling in NexerIQ turns a to-do list into a realistic plan. You assign work to people, see who's busy and who has capacity, and spot clashes before they happen. There are two views: your own day and your team's week. This article covers both and how to create an assignment.
My schedule vs. Team schedule
- Work → My schedule shows your own assignments (and any asset bookings) in a day or week calendar.
- Work → Team schedule shows everyone on a weekly timeline, grouped by person, with a capacity summary of planned vs. target hours. This view is available to users who can manage assignments.
Create an assignment
- Click New assignment, or click and drag across a time slot on the calendar.
- In the Assign work drawer, choose the Employee (you can pick several on the team schedule), and optionally a Customer and Work project.
- Set the Date, Planned hours, Start time, End time, and Work type. NexerIQ pre-fills these from the person's expected hours for that day.
- Add a caption and notes if helpful, then click Save.
If there's a clash
If the new assignment overlaps existing work, NexerIQ shows a Schedule conflict warning listing what it overlaps. Choose Save anyway to keep it, or Back to adjust the time first.
Edit, complete, or cancel
Click an appointment to reopen it. From there you can edit the details, Complete assignment when the work is done, or Cancel assignment. A cancelled assignment can be brought back with Restore assignment.
Want repeating shifts?
To set up assignments that repeat or to reuse a setup, see the article on recurring assignments and schedule templates.
