Your company profile and settings
Where your company settings live
Everything that defines how your company works in NexerIQ lives under Settings & Administration. Your company profile is the heart of it — the details that appear on your documents and shape how the system behaves.
Your company profile
Open Settings → Company profile to keep these up to date:
- Legal and trading names, registration and tax numbers.
- Addresses and contact details.
- Your logo, which appears on invoices and other customer-facing documents.
Getting these right matters, because they show up on the quotes and invoices your customers receive.
How your company behaves
Other company-wide settings control the defaults the whole team relies on:
- Currency and financial year — set during onboarding (note the base currency is fixed once you've traded).
- Tax defaults and filing frequency.
- Document numbering — the prefixes and sequences for quotes, orders, and invoices.
- Locations — if you operate from more than one site.
- Modules — turning on the features your business uses, so your menus only show what's relevant.
Who can change settings
Settings pages are protected — you need the right permission to open them, which keeps important configuration in the hands of administrators. If a settings option is missing for you, that's usually why (see Inviting users and managing access).
Change with care
Most settings are safe to adjust any time, but a few — like base currency and document numbering — are best fixed early and left alone. When in doubt, change one thing at a time and check the result.
