Recovering a deleted customer, product, or invoice with the Recovery Center

Deleted something by mistake? You can get it back

It happens to everyone — you delete a customer, a product, or an invoice and realise a moment too late that you still needed it. Don't worry: NexerIQ doesn't throw deleted items away immediately. It keeps them safely tucked aside for a while in the Recovery Center, where you can find and restore them in just a couple of clicks.

What you can recover

The Recovery Center covers the main things you work with day to day, including:

  • Customers and suppliers (and their groups)
  • Products, product groups, categories, and units
  • Quotes, sales orders, and invoices
  • Subscriptions and contracts
  • Employees, teams, and related groups
  • Ledger accounts and other reference lists

If you deleted one of these and it's still within its recovery window, you'll find it here.

Open the Recovery Center

Go to Settings and choose Recovery Center from the menu. (If you don't see it, your account may not have recovery access yet — see the note at the end.)

Find and restore an item

  1. In the Search box, type the name or code of what you deleted — for example the customer's name or a product code.
  2. To narrow things down, pick the kind of item from the Type list (such as Customer or Product), or set a Deleted from / Deleted to date range.
  3. Find the item in the list. Each row shows what it was, when it was deleted, who deleted it, and the date it will expire.
  4. Open the row's Actions menu and choose Restore (you can also select a row and use the Restore button in the side panel).
  5. Confirm when asked, and the item is returned to its normal place — back in your customer list, product catalogue, or wherever it belongs.

Don't see what you're looking for?

The list opens already filtered to recent deletions, so if you deleted something a while ago it may be hidden. Clear the date in the Deleted from field, or set it further back, and search again. Using the clear filters button resets everything so you can see the full picture.

How long do you have?

Deleted items don't stay recoverable forever. NexerIQ keeps them for a limited period (around 30 days by default) and then removes them permanently during routine cleanup. Each row shows an Expires date so you always know how long is left — if something matters, restore it sooner rather than later.

Permanently removing an item

Alongside Restore, you'll see a Purge option. Purging removes the item for good, right away, instead of waiting for the automatic cleanup. Use it with care: a purge cannot be undone, so only purge something when you're certain you'll never need it back.

Can't see the Recovery Center?

Restoring deleted items is a sensitive action, so access is controlled by permissions. If the Recovery Center isn't in your Settings menu, ask your company administrator to grant you recovery access — or simply give them the details of what was deleted and they can restore it for you.

Tip: if you're about to delete something and aren't completely sure, it's perfectly safe to go ahead — the Recovery Center is your safety net for exactly these moments.
