Setting up the Invoice Products Delivered extension
This guide shows you how to switch on the Invoice Products Delivered extension so you can track delivered quantities on invoice lines. For what the extension does and why you'd use it, see Invoice Products Delivered extension: what it does.
Install and enable
- Go to Settings → Marketplace Extensions.
- Find the Invoice Products Delivered card (search for "delivered" if it's quicker), and click it to review the details and required permissions.
- Click Install to add it to your system.
- Click Enable. A configuration drawer opens on the right — set the option below, then click Enable.
Settings
There's one setting, available in the configuration drawer when you enable it and any time afterwards via Configure:
- Default delivered = quantity — when enabled, new invoice lines are treated as fully delivered unless the salesperson explicitly sets a lower delivered quantity. This is on by default, which keeps day-to-day invoicing fast. Turn it off if you'd rather start each line with nothing delivered and enter the delivered amount yourself.
Using it day to day
Once enabled, each invoice product line carries a Quantity Delivered value alongside the invoiced quantity. When a customer takes only part of a line, set the delivered quantity to what actually went out; leave it at the full amount when everything is handed over. The delivered figures are stored per line, so a single invoice can have some lines fully delivered and others only partly.
To get the most out of it, pair it with Invoice Products Picking, which uses these delivered quantities to send any undelivered items to a warehouse picking queue automatically.
Tip: if most of your sales are taken away in full at the counter, leave Default delivered = quantity on — you'll only need to touch the delivered figure on the occasional partial sale.
