This guide shows you how to switch on the Invoice Products Picking extension so undelivered items are routed to a warehouse picking queue automatically. For what the extension does and why you'd use it, see Invoice Products Picking extension: what it does.
Picking relies on the Invoice Products Delivered extension to know which items are still outstanding, so install and enable that one first. Picking also uses your customer queues to hold the warehouse work — if you've never used queues before, don't worry: the picking queue is created automatically when it's first needed.
These settings are available in the configuration drawer when you enable the extension and any time afterwards via Configure:
Once enabled, the extension works on its own. Each time an invoice is posted with one or more lines that aren't fully delivered, a picking entry lands in your warehouse queue. Warehouse staff pick the items, then mark the entry complete — at which point the delivered quantities on the invoice update automatically, so your records stay accurate without anyone re-keying numbers.
If you chose a picking mode other than Always, salespeople can use the per-invoice toggle to decide whether a given invoice should generate picking work.
Tip: keep the Default delivered = quantity setting the same in both this extension and Invoice Products Delivered. When they match, picking decisions line up exactly with what your salespeople see on each invoice.
