NexerIQ's recruiting tools let you post a job, collect candidates, track each application as it moves through your hiring stages, and turn the person you choose into an employee — all without leaving the app. This article walks you through the whole flow, from creating a job posting to the final hire.
Creating a job posting
- Go to People → Recruiting and click New job posting.
- Enter a Job title (required), and optionally a Department, Location, Employment type (Full time, Part time, Contract, Internship, or Freelance), a Closes at date, and a Description.
- Click Save. The posting opens so you can start adding candidates.
A new posting starts as a Draft. On the posting page, use Publish posting to make it active, Pause posting to hold it, and Close posting when the role is filled.
Adding candidates and applications
On a job posting, the Applications section lists everyone who has applied. Click New candidate to add one:
- Pick an Existing candidate from the list, or leave it blank to create a new person.
- For a new candidate, enter their First name, Last name, Email address, Phone number, and Candidate source (Direct, LinkedIn, Referral, Job board, Agency, or Other).
- Add a Cover letter if you have one, then click Save.
You can also manage everyone in one place under People → Recruiting → Candidates, where each candidate shows a Status such as Active, Hired, or Rejected.
Moving an application through the stages
Each application carries a status: Applied → Screening → Interviewing → Offer, ending in Hired, Rejected, or Withdrawn.
- Use Advance application to move someone to the next stage.
- While interviewing, use the pen button to Add interview note — record who interviewed, when, a rating, and notes.
- Use Reject application to decline a candidate.
Hiring the candidate
- When an application reaches Interviewing or Offer, click Hire from application.
- In the Hire employee panel, confirm the Employee code and Tax ID, and set the Pay type, Pay rate, Currency, Pay frequency, and Start date.
- Click Hire from application. NexerIQ creates the employee record and opens it for you.
Tip — adding a candidate by the same email NexerIQ already has links the application to that existing person, so you don't end up with duplicates.
