Product Publishing extension: add ISBN, edition, and format fields to products
The Product Publishing extension turns your products into proper catalogue entries for books and other published media. It adds the fields a publisher, bookseller, or library needs — ISBNs, editions, formats, and more — so each title carries its full publishing detail right in NexerIQ.
What it adds
It adds nine publishing attributes to every product:
- ID Type — choose ISBN-10 or ISBN-13.
- ISBN — the international book number itself.
- Publisher ID and Publisher Name — who published the title.
- Publication Date — the official release date.
- Edition — the edition identifier.
- Language — the publication language.
- Genre — the category or genre.
- Format — Hardcover, Paperback, or eBook.
Who it's for
Book retailers, publishers, and library management teams — anyone whose products are titles rather than generic stock. If you've been squeezing ISBNs and editions into a notes field, this gives them a proper home with the right field types.
Good to know
The new fields appear in a Publishing group on each product. ID Type and Format are pick-lists, so there's no guessing the right spelling — you simply choose the correct value.
