Setting up the Product Logistics extension
This guide shows you how to switch on the Product Logistics extension so you can record weight, volume, and dimensions on your products. For what the extension does and why you'd use it, see Product Logistics extension: what it does.
Install and enable
- Go to Settings → Marketplace Extensions.
- Find the Product Logistics card (search for "logistics" if it's quicker), and click it to review the details and required permissions.
- Click Install to add it to your system.
- Click Enable to switch it on. Product Logistics has no settings to fill in, so it activates immediately.
Settings
There's nothing to configure — once enabled, the logistics fields appear automatically on every product.
Using it day to day
Open any product and look for the Logistics group. Fill in the values that apply:
- Enter Origin Country and Unit Quantity for customs and packaging.
- Record Net Weight and Gross Weight in kilograms, and Volume in litres.
- Add Width, Height, and Depth, then set the Dimension Unit (such as cm) so everyone reads the numbers the same way.
You don't have to fill in every field — record what's relevant for the way you ship.
Turning it off
To stop using the fields, open the card and click Disable — your saved values are kept and you can re-enable any time. To remove it entirely, click Uninstall and confirm; this purges the logistics values stored on your products.
Tip: agree on a single Dimension Unit for your catalogue before you start entering measurements — consistency here saves a lot of confusion when freight is calculated.
