Product Logistics extension: record product weight, volume, and dimensions

The Product Logistics extension records the physical properties of your products — how much they weigh, how big they are, and where they're made — right on the product itself. Once these details are in place, everything that depends on them (freight quotes, customs paperwork, warehouse planning) becomes far easier to get right.

What it adds

It adds nine logistics attributes to every product:

  • Origin Country — the country of manufacture, useful for customs declarations.
  • Unit Quantity — how many units are in a package.
  • Net Weight and Gross Weight — recorded in kilograms.
  • Volume — recorded in litres.
  • Width, Height, and Depth — the product's physical dimensions.
  • Dimension Unit — the unit of measure for those dimensions, such as cm, mm, or in.

Who it's for

Any business that ships physical goods — especially teams that calculate freight, prepare customs paperwork, or plan warehouse space. If you've ever had to dig up a product's weight or box size by hand, this keeps it on file where everyone can see it.

Good to know

The new fields appear in a Logistics group on each product, so they sit neatly together and don't clutter the rest of the product record. You fill them in once and they travel with the product from then on.
