Setting up the Product Quote Attachments extension

This guide shows you how to switch on the Product Quote Attachments extension so you can flag product documents to send with sales quotes. For what the extension does and why you'd use it, see Product Quote Attachments extension: what it does.

Install and enable

  1. Go to Settings → Marketplace Extensions.
  2. Find the Product Quote Attachments card (search for "quote attachment" if it's quicker), and click it to review the details and required permissions.
  3. Click Install to add it to your system.
  4. Click Enable to switch it on. There are no settings to fill in, so it activates immediately.

There's nothing to configure — once enabled, the Attach with Quote checkbox appears automatically on product attachments.

Using it day to day

The option lives on each product's attachments:

  • Open a product and go to its attachments.
  • When you upload a new document or edit an existing one, tick Attach with Quote for the files you'd want a customer to receive with a quote.
  • Leave internal-only files unticked.

Note that this release records the flag only — flagged documents are not yet bundled into quote emails automatically. Setting them now means your catalogue is ready the moment that delivery step is available.

Turning it off

To stop using the option, open the card and click Disable — your flags are kept and you can re-enable any time. To remove it entirely, click Uninstall and confirm; this purges the stored quote-attachment flags.

Tip: review your key products' attachments in one sitting and flag the customer-facing documents now — that way your quotes are ready to go the day automatic bundling arrives.
