Work Project Assignment extension: track owner, supervisor, and worker on every work project

The Work Project Assignment extension makes it crystal clear who's responsible for each work project. It adds a small set of ownership fields — an owner, a supervisor, a default worker, and an optional parent project — so everyone can see at a glance who runs the project, who oversees it, and where it fits in the bigger picture.

What it adds

Once enabled, every work project gains four extra fields, grouped together under Assignment:

  • Parent Project — link a project to a parent project, so you can build hierarchical, multi-level project structures.
  • Owner — the person or team accountable for the project's outcome.
  • Supervisor — the manager overseeing delivery.
  • Default Worker — the primary resource doing the work.

Who it's for

Teams that juggle several projects at once and want clear accountability without spreadsheets on the side. It's especially handy for resource planning and for escalation workflows, where knowing exactly who owns and oversees a project saves real time.

Good to know

These are plain, flexible fields — you fill them in however suits your team, and they sit neatly alongside the rest of the work project details. Nothing changes in how your projects run; you simply get a clearer record of who's responsible.
