Asset Warranty extension: track warranty coverage and never miss a claim

The Asset Warranty extension makes sure you never miss a warranty window again. By recording when coverage starts and ends, who provides it, and the reference number, you'll always know whether a repair is covered — and who to call to make a claim.

What it adds

  • Warranty Start Date — when coverage began.
  • Warranty End Date — when coverage expires, so you can spot what's still protected.
  • Warranty Provider — the insurer or manufacturer handling the warranty.
  • Warranty Reference — the contract or claim reference number you'll need when you get in touch.

Who it's for

Procurement teams, finance, and anyone who manages assets that came with a warranty — electronics, machinery, vehicles, appliances, and more. Having coverage dates on hand helps with budget planning, repair decisions, and getting work done under warranty instead of paying out of pocket.

Good to know

With end dates recorded against every asset, it's easy to see which warranties are still active and which have lapsed — a real help when deciding whether to repair, replace, or renew. The fields appear on your existing assets; nothing else about them changes.
